NATIONAL AFFAIRS:
1) CSIR gets clearance for two COVID-19 clinical medication preliminaries:
CSIR को COVID-19 के लिए दो क्लिनिकल ड्रग ट्रायल के लिए मंजूरी मिली:
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has obtain endorsement for the treatment of COVID-19 for two clinical preliminary medications – ‘phytopharmaceutical’ and ‘favipiravir,’ where endorsement was granted by the Drug Controller General of India (DGCI).
काउंसिल फॉर साइंटिफिक एंड इंडस्ट्रियल रिसर्च (CSIR) ने COVID-19 के इलाज के लिए दो नैदानिक परीक्षण दवाओं- Scientific फाइटोफार्मास्युटिकल ’और and फेविपिरविर’ को मंजूरी दी है। ड्रग कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (DGCI) द्वारा मंजूरी दे दी गई है।
2) Jharkhand prohibits the manufacture, stockpiling and selling of pan masala containing Magnesium Carbonate for 1 year:
झारखंड में 1 साल के लिए मैग्नीशियम कार्बोनेट युक्त पान मसाला की बिक्री, भंडारण, बिक्री पर प्रतिबंध है:
On May 8, 2020, the Jharkhand state government provided a request forbidding the production, stockpiling, dispersion or sale of Pan Masala containing Magnesium Carbonate in the state for a time of one year in which the request was passed by the state’s Food Safety Commissioner, Nitin Kulkarni.
झारखंड राज्य सरकार ने 8 मई, 2020 को एक वर्ष की अवधि के लिए राज्य में मैग्नीशियम कार्बोनेट युक्त पान मसाला के निर्माण, भंडारण, वितरण या बिक्री पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का आदेश जारी किया। यह आदेश राज्य में खाद्य सुरक्षा आयुक्त नितिन कुलकर्णी ने पारित किया था।
3) Huge exercise to supply free food grains, pulses under PM-GKAY to 80 crore individuals:
PM-GKAY के तहत 80 करोड़ लोगों को मुफ्त खाद्यान्न, दालों की आपूर्ति के लिए व्यापक अभ्यास:
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution announced that an aggregate of 2641 rakes were provided by the Food Corporation of India including Wheat and Rice where the declaration was made by the Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan.
उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय ने बताया कि भारतीय खाद्य निगम (FCI) ने गेहूं और चावल सहित कुल 2641 रेक की आपूर्ति की है। केंद्रीय उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्री राम विलास पासवान ने घोषणा की।
4) Giriraj Singh honors victors of the Startup India-Animal Husbandry Grand Challenge:
गिरिराज सिंह ने स्टार्टअप इंडिया-एनिमल हसबैंड्री ग्रैंड चैलेंज विजेताओं को पुरस्कार दिया:
Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Giriraj Singh, granted the victors of the “Startup India-Animal Husbandry Grand Challenge” on 8 May, propelled as a collaboration with Startup India through the Animal Husbandry and Dairying wing.
केंद्रीय मत्स्य पालन, पशुपालन और डेयरी मंत्री, गिरिराज सिंह ने 8 मई को “स्टार्टअप इंडिया-पशुपालन ग्रैंड चैलेंज” के विजेताओं को सम्मानित किया। पशुपालन स्टार्टअप ग्रैंड चैलेंज को पशुपालन और डेयरी विभाग द्वारा स्टार्टअप इंडिया के साथ साझेदारी में लॉन्च किया गया था।
5) The Defence Ministry signs with Tata Power SED for Airfield Infrastructure Modernization:
रक्षा मंत्रालय ने एयर फील्ड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए टाटा पावर एसईडी के साथ हस्ताक्षर किए:
The Ministry of Defence marked on 8 May an agreement with M/s Tata Power SED (TPSED) to upgrade the airfield foundation (infrastructure) of 37 airfields for the Indian Air Force, the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard, where the agreement costs about Rs. 1,200 crore as the agreement proposition was affirmed by the Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh.
रक्षा मंत्रालय ने 8 मई को भारतीय वायु सेना, भारतीय नौसेना और भारतीय तटरक्षक के लिए 37 वायुक्षेत्रों के एयर फील्ड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए मेसर्स टाटा पावर एसईडी (टीपीएसईडी) के साथ एक अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किए। अनुबंध की लागत लगभग 1,200 करोड़ रुपये है। अनुबंध से संबंधित प्रस्ताव को रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने मंजूरी दी।
6) Scientists noticed a seasonal progression in the Karakoram System of 220 surge-type glaciers:

Researchers from the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology (WIHG), Dehradun have discovered an occasional progression in 220 flood type ice sheets in the Ladakh Karakoram Range through a careful evaluation of a portion of the Karakoram range’s significant flood ice sheets utilizing satellite pictures and thermal information.
देहरादून के वाडिया इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ हिमालयन जियोलॉजी (WIHG) के वैज्ञानिकों ने लद्दाख के काराकोरम रेंज में 220 सर्ज-प्रकार के ग्लेशियरों में मौसमी उन्नति पाई है, जो उपग्रह चित्रों और थर्मल डेटा का उपयोग करके काराकोरम रेंज के कुछ प्रमुख सर्जन ग्लेशियरों का विस्तृत मूल्यांकन करते हैं।

1) Iraq’s PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi presumes office:
इराक के प्रधान मंत्री मुस्तफा अल-कदीमी ने पद ग्रहण किया:
PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi got to work on May 6 after another legislature was affirmed by the nation’s parliament where endorsement came after approximately six months of political dispute as Mustafa supplanted Adel Abdul Mahdi.
इराक की नई प्रधानमंत्री मुस्तफा अल-कदीमी ने 6 मई को देश की संसद द्वारा एक नई सरकार को मंजूरी देने के बाद पद ग्रहण किया। लगभग 6 महीने की राजनीतिक तकरार के बाद यह मंजूरी मिली। मुस्तफा ने एडेल अब्दुल महदी का स्थान लिया।
2) China propelled the most remarkable rocket into space, Long March-5B, with success:
चीन ने अपने सबसे शक्तिशाली रॉकेट लॉन्ग मार्च -5 बी को सफलतापूर्वक कक्षा में लॉन्च किया:
China effectively propelled its most remarkable “Long March-5B” rocket on its maiden venture into space on 5 May, which was launched from Hainan, China’s Wenchang Space Launch Center.
चीन ने अपने सबसे शक्तिशाली रॉकेट “लॉन्ग मार्च -5 बी” को 5 मई को कक्षा में अपनी पहली यात्रा पर सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया। रॉकेट को चीन के हैनान में वेनचांग स्पेस लॉन्च सेंटर से लॉन्च किया गया था।
3) On 9 May, World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated:
9 मई को विश्व प्रवासी पक्षी दिवस मनाया जाता है:
The World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated on 9 May in the year 2020, which is watched universally on the second Saturday of May, with the goal of highlighting the dangers faced by transient flying creatures, their environmental significance and raising issues to light of the expanding requirement for global participation to protect them.
विश्व प्रवासी पक्षी दिवस वर्ष 2020 में 9 मई को मनाया जाता है। मई महीने के दूसरे शनिवार को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। इस दिन का उद्देश्य प्रवासी पक्षियों, उनके पारिस्थितिक महत्व के साथ आने वाले खतरों पर ध्यान देना है। इसका उद्देश्य उन्हें संरक्षित करने के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग की बढ़ती आवश्यकता के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना भी है।

NATIONAL AFFAIRS:
1) India and AIIB conclude a USD 500 million aid agreement to COVID-19:
भारत और AIIB ने USD 500 मिलियन COVID-19 समर्थन के लिए समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए:
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has consented to an arrangement with the Indian government to give USD 500 million worth of funding to help India’s “COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Program,” which will assist India extend its reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic and improve general wellbeing preparedness for the country.
एशियन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंक (AIIB) ने भारत के “COVID-19 इमरजेंसी रिस्पांस एंड हेल्थ सिस्टम्स प्रिपेरडनेस प्रोजेक्ट” का समर्थन करने के लिए 500 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के फंड उपलब्ध कराने के लिए भारत सरकार के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह परियोजना भारत को COVID-19 महामारी के प्रति अपनी प्रतिक्रिया देने और देश की सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य तैयारियों को मजबूत करने में मदद करेगी।
2) UP CM Yogi Adityanath introduced the Pravasi Rahat Mitra App for supporting migrants:
यूपी के सीएम योगी आदित्यनाथ ने प्रवासी नागरिकों की सहायता के लिए प्रवासी राहत मित्र ऐप लॉन्च किया:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath propelled the ‘Pravasi Rahat Mitra’ application created by the Department of State Revenue in a joint effort with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to enable migrant individuals from different states to Uttar Pradesh to take benefits of government plans.
उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने Ra प्रवासी राहत मित्र ’ऐप लॉन्च किया। इस कदम का उद्देश्य अन्य राज्यों से उत्तर प्रदेश में आने वाले प्रवासी नागरिकों को सहायता प्रदान करना है ताकि वे सरकारी योजनाओं का लाभ उठा सकें। ऐप को संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम (UNDP) के सहयोग से राज्य के राजस्व विभाग द्वारा विकसित किया गया था।
3) To survey the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the legislature of Tamil Nadu structures a high-level committee:
तमिलनाडु सरकार ने COVID-19 महामारी के प्रभाव का आकलन करने के लिए उच्च-स्तरीय समिति का गठन किया:
The legislature of Tamil Nadu has formed a high-level committee to evaluate the overall quick and medium-term effect of COVID-19 on the state economy headed by Dr. C Rangarajan, previous Indian Governor of the Reserve Bank.

4) Under the Sarfaesi Act SC puts cooperative banks on a standard with different moneylenders:

The Supreme Court brought cooperative banks under the 2002 Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Security Enforcement Act (Sarfaesi Act), which engages lenders to seize and sell the assets of defaulters.

6) Chief of Wipro and MD Abidali Z Neemuchwala ventures down:
विप्रो के सीईओ और एमडी अबिदाली जेड नीमचवाला ने पद छोड़ दिया:

1) On the 40th commemoration of the eradication of smallpox, the WHO and UN post office issue memorial postage stamps:
डब्ल्यूएचओ और संयुक्त राष्ट्र की डाक एजेंसी ने चेचक के उन्मूलन की 40 वीं वर्षगांठ पर स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी किया:
On 9 May, the World Health Organization and the UN postal office released a memorial postage stamp to recognize the 40th commemoration of the eradication of smallpox, where the WHO’s crusade for the annihilation of smallpox was propelled in 1967 to bring issues to light of smallpox worldwide through post stamps.
विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन और संयुक्त राष्ट्र की डाक एजेंसी ने चेचक के उन्मूलन की 40 वीं वर्षगांठ मनाने के लिए 9 मई को एक स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी किया है। डब्ल्यूएचओ का चेचक उन्मूलन अभियान 1967 में शुरू किया गया था। डब्ल्यूएचओ ने डाक टिकटों के माध्यम से दुनिया भर में चेचक के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाई।
2) IEA’s Global Energy Assessment reports that the market for electricity is down by 15 percent:
आईईए की वैश्विक ऊर्जा की समीक्षा में बिजली की मांग में 15 प्रतिशत की गिरावट आई है:
The International Energy Agency (IEA) published the Global Energy Review in 2020 where it reported that 15 percent of the everyday demand for power was decreased as it featured carbon dioxide emanations and worldwide demand for energy in 2020.
इंटरनेशनल एनर्जी एजेंसी (IEA) ने 2020 में ग्लोबल एनर्जी रिव्यू जारी किया। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि दैनिक बिजली की मांग का 15% कम हो गया है। इसने वर्ष 2020 में कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड उत्सर्जन और वैश्विक ऊर्जा मांग पर प्रकाश डाला।
