Registration for Common Law Admission Test
Important update for the candidates preparing for CLAT 2021 exam. The process of registration for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT or CLAT) for the year 2021 by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) is being started from 1st January 2021 on the first day of the new year. Common Law Admission Test to be conducted for admission to five-year UG (LLB) and PG (LLM) courses in National Law Universities located in different cities across the country, according to an update released by CLLU on the CLAT exam portal, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Registration can be done till 31 March 2021. Candidates who wish to appear in the Law Entrance Examination can do CLAT 2021 registration by visiting the portal.

Who can register CLAT 2020?
CLAT 2021 registration can be done only by those candidates who have given 12th board examinations in the year 2020 or going to take 12th board examination in the year 2021. Candidates should note that they are required to score at least 45% marks in 12th to appear for CLAT UG Exam 2021. However, for SC and ST category candidates, the minimum marks limit is 40 percent. The educational qualification prescribed for the CLAT PG Entrance Exam 2021 for admission to PG level LLM is passed with a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 per cent marks.

Candidates should also keep in mind that for CLAT 2020 registration a fee of Rs 4000 has to be deposited, which can be paid through online means. However, for SC, ST, SST and OBC category candidates, the application fee has been fixed at Rs 3500.
CLAT 2021 will be held on 9 May
On the other hand, according to the update released by CNLU, CLAT 2021 examination is scheduled to be held on May 9, 2021 at various examination centers across the country. The CLAT 2021 exam will start from 3 pm on the scheduled date in the same shift of two hours.
