Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the notification of the Combined State Agricultural Services Examination-2020 to fill 564 posts in the Department of Agriculture. This notification is uploaded on the official website of the Commission. Candidates can download it from the commission’s site. According to this notification issued by the UP PAC, application has started for 764 types of posts in the agriculture department of the state. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their online applications by 29 January 2021.

Educational Qualification: Different qualifications are given for different types of posts. Candidates must see the official notification given below for this.

Age Limit: As on 1 July 2020, the minimum age of the candidates should not be more than 21 years and maximum age of 40 years. Candidates of reserved category will be given relaxation in maximum age limit as per rules of Uttar Pradesh government.

Selection Process:

The selection for the posts of District Horticulture Officer, Principal State Food Science Training will be done on the basis of preliminary, main examination and interview, while the selection for the remaining 5 types of posts will be without interview.

Let me tell you that till now the recruitment of these posts was done through PCS examination, but for the first time due to the high number of posts, separate State Agricultural Services Examination -2020 is being organized for these posts. The link for the detailed advertisement is given below.

UPPSC Combined State Agricultural Services Examination-2020 Pattern

UPPSC Combined State Agricultural Services Examination-2020 Preliminary Examination will be of 300 marks. For this, a paper will have 120 questions. In this, 80 questions related to agriculture and 40 questions will be of general studies. The question paper has to be solved in two hours. Minus marking system is also applicable in the examination.

Main exam pattern

There will be two papers in the main examination. The first general Hindi and essay question paper will be of 100 marks i.e. 50-50 marks. Its examination will run for two hours.

Similarly, the second question paper will have two hundred marks for optional subjects.

50 marks have been set for the interview.
