National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) requires Assistant Engineer and Assistant Chemist for shift operations in stations and projects. NTPC has issued a notification for the recruitment of these posts on its official website.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for these jobs through NTPC website ntpccareers.net. The application process has started from 24 February 2021 which will run till 10 March 2021. The age of the candidates applying should not be more than 30 years.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of online examination. The exam will be in two parts. First subject knowledge test and second aptitude test. Candidates have to pass both the exams.

Application fee

Application fee of Rs 300 for general class / economically weaker class / other backward class.

There is no application fee for SC / ST / Divyang and women candidates.

1. Total 200 posts of Assistant Engineer

Electrical – 90 posts

Mechanical – 70 posts.

Electronics / Instrumentation – 40 posts.

2. Total 30 posts of Assistant Chemist

Educational Qualifications

Assistant engineer
Candidates must have an engineering degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Instrumentation subjects.

Assistant chemist
Candidates should have MSc in Chemistry subject with minimum 60 percent marks from any recognized university.

Experience :

Assistant engineer
It is mandatory to have minimum 1 year qualification experience in operation / maintenance / erection / construction / engineering in thermal or gas power plant.

Assistant chemist
Water treatment plant system and mass analysis Boiler water chemistry should have minimum qualification experience of one year.
