Now RAS exam will be done on the lines of UPSC
The rules related to the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS- Rajasthan Administrative Service) have been amended. Now there will be RAS recruitment exam on the lines of UPSC. These amendments have been done by the Ashok Gehlok government to eradicate judicial disturbances.
According to the old rule, only 15 times the category-wise vacancies were eligible to appear in the main examination, due to which the reserved class cut-off was sometimes higher than the general category and had to seek the help of the court to solve the problem. . But now the government has found a solution.
According to the revised rules, candidates 15 times the estimated vacancies occurring in the year will be considered eligible to appear in the Mains Examination. Note that for this, the Department of Personnel has issued a notification which clarifies that only those reserved category candidates will be called in the main examination held in the year 2013, 2016 and 2018 those who have scored equal to or more than the general class in the prelims. Last year, the government prepared a committee, based on the recommendation of which has been taken. In the committee of IAS Ashish Modi, KK Sharma, RAS Jaisingh, studied UPSC pattern and amended the rules on the report made.
