JEE Advanced exam held on 27 Sept
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi will conduct the JEE Advanced Examination for the admission in top engineering institutes across the country during the last week of September. The institute has announced to postpone the exam date from September 23 to September 27. Due to the delay in the conduct of the JEE Main 2020 examination, the conduct of the JEE Advanced 2020 examination has been extended for about one week. At the same time, the date of 11 September 2020 has been set for the declaration of the results of the JEE Main Examination.
The examination will be done in two shifts
According to the update released on the JEE Advanced Examination Portal, jeeadv.ac.in, the examination will be conducted in two shifts of three hours each in the morning and afternoon, starting from 9 am and 14.30 pm. The JEE Advanced 2020 exam will be computer-based.
Results on 5 October, allocation of seats from 6 October
The results of the examination are to be announced on October 5 as per the schedule released on the JEE Advanced Examination Portal. The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will be conducted on 8 October and results will be released on 11 October 2020. Based on the JEE Advanced 2020 exam, the process of allocation of seats by IIT Delhi will start from 6 October which will run till 9 November 2020.
JEE Advanced 2020: Seats as per revised eligibility criteria and category
The candidates declared successful in the JEE Main results released this week will appear in the JEE Advanced Examination. This year, the minimum eligibility criteria for the 12th marks required for admission have been relaxed in view of the classes and examinations which were disrupted due to the COVID-19 epidemic. This year, candidates only have to pass the 12th.
At the same time, on the basis of the admission process this year, 60,300 candidates are to be selected from OBC (NCL) class, 33,333 from SC, 16,000 from ST, and 2,000 from the PWD category, while 1,09,500 seats were kept for general category candidates. Huh.
