Recruitment has been done for the youth of 10th pass in Indian Coast Guard. The home guard of the Coast Guard has taken this vacancy to various positions of sailors. Notifications for this have been issued on the official website joinindiancoastguard.gov.in.

The youth to be elected to these posts will initially get a basic pay of Rs 21,700 as per Level-3. Apart from this, DA and other allowances will also be given. Then after getting promotion in the rank of Principal Officer, the basic pay level-8 will be Rs 47,600 per month. DA will be given separately.

Who can apply

Youth who have passed 10th standard with at least 50 per cent marks from any board recognized by the center or state can apply for it. The youth coming under SC, ST and Sports quota will get a rebate of 5 percentage points. The age of the applicant should be minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years. SC and ST category will get 5 years relaxation in maximum age limit and 3 years for OBCs.

What will work will be the work of cook and steward.

Total 50 posts are to be recruited. Of these, 20 posts will be for general category.
