Application process started for GATE 2021
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has started the application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in. The application process was to start from 14 September which has already started two days ago. The last date to apply without any late fee is 30 September while candidates with late fees can apply till 07 October. Candidates who have passed the examination will be eligible for admission to postgraduate and doctoral courses in IITs, IISc, PSU across the country.
The GATE scorecard is valid for up to three years. The exam will be conducted in 12 sessions over six days. Candidates will be able to take the exam from 05 February to 07 February and from 12 to 14 February. If the condition of COVID-19 does not improve, the examination will not be conducted in foreign centers as per the official notice. Apart from this, the necessary guidelines related to epidemic prevention will also be applicable in the examination.
GATE 2021: How to apply
Step 1: Go to the official website gate.iitb.ac.in.
Step 2: Now click GOAPS, you will be sent to a new page.
Step 3: Click on the new registration and finally register.
Step 4: Register using your details and submit.
Step 5: Upload the required documents and submit the fee.
Step 6: Submit the final and save the copy of your filled form.
Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,500 per paper. The fee is Rs 750 for women and reserved category candidates. During the period from 01 to 07 October, the candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 200 and the reserved class people will have to pay Rs 1250. Candidates will have to answer 65 questions for a total of 100 marks in three hours’ time.
