Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) is a deemed private institute with 4 branches in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai with Pilani being its main campus. Let’s talk about admission in the prestigious institute of Pilani.
1. Undergraduate courses
The courses offered by campus are

Eligibility – Candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognised board/university with a minimum of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Biology for B.Pharm.) and an individual of 60% in each.
To take admission in any of these courses they have to clear the cut off of their entrance test BITSAT.
The exam is held in the month July and is one of rare examination which does not provide any kind of reservation. It is an online based exam and thus you get your result displayed when you submit your examination sheet. You can compare your result with previous year results as they do not vary much.

Admission is done through CAT score in MBA courses the shortlisting is through merit basis, then candidates are called for GD and PI sessions.
And for admission in ME and M.Pharm courses minimum eligibility to apply is a 60% score in your respective graduation degree. For selection separate entrance test with group discussion and interviews is held. You can apply for same in the month of April.
3. PhD
To get a doctoral degree from BITS, Pilani candidate have to apply with minimum eligibility of 60% in ME/MPharm/MPhil/MBA, MSc with BE is also a considerable course. For PhD in humanities and language, candidate has to pass MPhil/MA with at least 55% of score to apply. The selection is done through an entrance test with personal interview.
