Application for Common Admission Test starts today
The applications for the Common Admission Test i.e. CAT 2020 have started on Wednesday 5 August. Candidates willing and eligible to participate in this test can apply online by visiting the official website iimcat.ac.in. The last date for the application process, which started from August 5, has been set as August 16. The CAT 2020 exam is scheduled to be held on 29 November. This year the Indian Institute of Management Indore ie IIM Indore is conducting the Common Admission Test.
Millions of candidates participate
CAT is a national level eligibility test, under which admissions are conducted in more than 600 business schools across the country. Every year, lakhs of students take part in the Common Admission Test. The CAT exam is of three hours. It consists of three classes of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.
Common admission test will be done in 156 cities
The Common Admission Test 2020 will be conducted in 156 cities across the country this year. Candidates can choose a maximum of six cities while applying online for CAT 2020. These can be selected by order of preference. To participate in the Common Admission Test 2020, the candidate must have a graduation degree from a recognized university or institute. It also requires a 50 percent mark. However, some relaxation has been given for the candidates of the Reserve category.
In such a situation, when the Common Admission Test 2020 will be organized on November 29 this year, it is believed that the results will be announced by the second week of January 2010. CAT 2020 scorecard will be valid till December 2021.
