Good news for young unemployed people seeking government jobs in the forest department. A notification has been issued for the recruitment of a 2000 Forest Assistant in the Forest Department. The Forest Department of the West Bengal State Government has issued a notification for the newly created 2000 Forest Assistant posts on 30 July 2020. According to which interested and eligible candidates can apply through the application form provided on the official website of the Forest Department, westbengalforest.gov.in. West Bengal Forest Department 2000 has become the last date of application for assistant posts within 7 days from the date of publication of advertisement i.e. 5 August 2020. Who can apply?

Only those candidates who have passed 8th class from a recognized school and have an age of 18 years or more but not more than 40 years, can apply for the posts of 2000 Forest assistants in the Forest Department. Candidates should note that the age will be calculated from 1 January 2020. This means that the candidate must have been born between 1 January 1980 to 31 December 2001. However, relaxation in the maximum age limit has been given to the candidates of reserved sections SC and ST.

This will be the selection

The candidates will be selected through evaluation-cum-interview and personality test. In the selection process, candidates capable of reading and writing Bengali language will be given 30-30 marks, while candidates capable of reading English and Hindi will be given 10 marks and 20 marks for General Knowledge Viva Voce and 10 marks for Personality Fitness for Affordable Functions.
