NCERT has developed an eight-week alternative academic calendar which has been released on 2nd of July 2020 for classes 1 to 5. A week wise plan has been developed while keeping in view that  what tools are available to teachers. 

Education Minister twitted that today an 8 week alternative academic calendar has been launched for primary stage. The detailed guidelines for the teachers on the use of technology and social media are contained in this calendar to impart education while the students are at home. 

Most importantly, the week plan is including the interesting activities and challenges along with the reference into the themes and chapters taken from the textbook for syllabus with learning outcomes across the subject areas.
