JEE Main 2021 Exam Dates
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday announced the exam schedule for JEE Main April and May session 2021. The Education Minister made this announcement through a live session. Earlier, he had tweeted and told that during the interaction with the students, the dates of JEE Main 2021 will be announced.
Interested candidates will be able to register from tonight
The Education Minister said that the April session of JEE Main 2021 will be held from July 20-25. JEE Main (May) will be conducted from July 27 to August 2. The registration window has been reopened for the candidates. Those who could not apply for the exam earlier and wish to apply for the April session will be able to apply from tonight till July 8. Registration for JEE Main (May) session will be open from July 9 to 12. Apart from this, the facility of changing the examination center has also been provided to the candidates.
About 13 lakh candidates have already registered for the exam.
According to the latest update released by the National Testing Agency, a total of 6.80 lakh candidates are already registered for JEE Main April 2021. 6.09 lakh candidates have registered for the May session. The application window has been reopened for both the April and May sessions to further increase the registration numbers.
Students and parents were demanding to clarify the situation
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had postponed JEE Main 2021 April and May session in view of the second wave of corona pandemic. But ever since the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) canceled the class 12 board exams, students and parents on social media platforms have been appealing to the NTA and the central government to clarify the situation regarding JEE Main dates. Candidates are confused about the third and fourth stage examinations of JEE Mains.
JEE Main April-May session had to be postponed due to Corona
Earlier, in view of the Corona epidemic, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had announced to conduct JEE Main examinations in four sessions from this year, in which two sessions of February and March 2021 have been conducted. Now the examinations of the next session were proposed to be held in April and May which were postponed due to Corona epidemic. NTA has finalized its report for JEE Main exam for April and May session. It is believed that the NTA has submitted its report to the Ministry of Education. Based on the same, the Education Minister will announce the JEE Main dates at 7 pm.
