In the Intelligence Bureau released in December 2020, the written examination admit cards have been issued for the candidates who have applied under the recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade 2 / Executive. Candidates can download their IB ACIO Admit Card 2021 from the official website of Union Ministry of Home Affairs, mha.gov.in. Written examination is to be conducted soon under the prescribed selection process for 2000 posts of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade 2 / Executive in the Intelligence Bureau under Home Ministry.

According to the notification issued by the Intelligence Bureau, the written examination examination will consist of two parts 1-1 hours – Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 will have a total of 100 multiple choice questions from 5 different subjects. These subjects include General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical / Analytical / Logical Ability and Reasoning, English Language and General Studies. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier 1 of the written examination. The minimum prescribed cut-off to be successful in Tier 1 is for 35 unreserved candidates. However, there is a cut-off of 34 marks for OBC / EWS and 33 for SC / ST and ex-servicemen. Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies (20 thousand) will be declared successful for Tier 2 as per merit.

At the same time, Tier 2 of the written examination will have detailed answers of total 50 marks. It includes 30-digit Nibbhad and 20-digit English comprehension and abstract writing.

Candidates declared successful on the basis of overall performance in written examination Tier 1 and Tier 2 will be invited for the next stage Tier 3 / Interview.
